Maintains a clean medication cart. Alerts nurse prior to administration of a PRN medication. Administers medications and treatments as delegated and supervised by a licensed nurse.

Requirements and Skills include: 

• 1. Deliver routine daily medications to patients.
• 2. Work with different nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
• 3. Adhere to written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
• 4. Pay attention and observe patients and document any changes in their condition.
• 5. Ensure that equipment is regularly inspected and kept clean. Attend patient emergency call signals, intercom systems, or bells, to identify patient needs at all times.
• 6. Must be a Certified Medication Aide.
• 7. Considerable understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
